    **WARNING** This is a ramble

That is a tough question. I guess the simple answer would be that I fornicate on a regular basis. I will not have that to use as an excuse after next month. I think another reason is that I grew up in a good Christian home with two strong Christian and Religious parents. This sets the bar pretty high in my perception as to what a saved person should be. My father is a C.O.G.I.C. Pastor and my mother is a Missionary. I am not anything close to what they are. I know that I shouldn’t expect to be since they have been living the life before I was born. It is one of those things that just resonate in my mind when I look at the life I live. Another reason is that I am afraid to fail. I know this sounds crazy but it is true. It is not because of my pride or anything like that. I have a few friends that kind of I hate to say “look up to me” I guess “look to me for inspiration” is a better term. When someone tells me that watching me be a father to my children inspired them to be a good father when they became one I take that seriously. I know that all Christian make mistakes and come short but I am coming up short in a lot of things right now. I think maybe I take being saved to serious if that is possible. I can’t do like some people.
I know people that stay over their signifigant others house on Saturday in the same bed doing the do and get up and go to church and testify that they are saved and filled with the Holy Ghost on Sunday morning. People are watching. I guess I would rather think of myself as a good sinner rather than a bad Christian. Stupid I know. I am getting closer to becoming what I want to be as time goes by. Knowing if half the battle. I feel that as long as I identify myself as a sinner I will not get too comfortable in my current lifestyle doing some of the things I do. This is a ramble but I hope it gives you an picture of what I am thinking.

    no, it's not a ramble.

this: "I guess I would rather think of myself as a good sinner rather than a bad Christian."

    makes perfect sense to me.

i'm really glad you started blogging. i feel that i've gotten to know you better. you're a really neat person, and i have no doubt that you will be saved one day. you must do it in your time and god's time. and i hope that time is sooner rather than later.

i'll leave you with what my email sig reads right now:

    christians aren't perfect.
    they are forgiven.
