Just Plain Trifling
This morning I had the chance to see trifling up close and personal. If you haven’t seen trifling in a while just have a breakfast potluck at your place of work. I usually try to alternate the things I bring. I don’t want to be cheap and bring a gallon of juice two times in a row. I did juice the last time so I decided to do a nice fruit bowl this morning. The last time we had a little trouble with the food. We ran out of bacon before everyone had a chance to eat. This time it was outrageous I waited for around fifteen minutes before I went down to the break room to fix my plate. I walk up in there all the donuts gone, all the sausage gone, all the casserole gone, and worst of all the fruit was gone. The cantaloupe I cut with my very own knife, the grapes I washed with my very own hands all gone. What was left on the table, biscuits, biscuits, biscuits? There are still at least three dozen biscuits down there now. There is also three gallons of milk in the frig that will be there until our group has to clean frig again but that is another vent for another day. One person had brought some of those prepackaged sausage sandwiches with egg and cheese on them. She said she forgot about it so she went to the store and bought a big box of those things which was very nice of her. The thing that got me is that someone had taken one of them and wrote their name on it and put it in the fridge. That was bad enough since we were low on food. The most trifling part of it was when I went to get my lunch around one I ran into her and asked her was she going to eat that sandwich for lunch. She said no she was saving it for breakfast tomorrow and that she may have to go to the store and get a pack because the one she ate this morning was really good. What kind of stuff is that? How selfish can one be? To top it off she was one of the people that stepped up in the kitchen with a load of hard biscuits.
